There were 100's of people in attendance. The events were well planned and included lots of activities for kids. The webmaster's son Teddy's favorite was the Sea of Balls! The webmaster's favorite was the S80 Introduction. Volvo presented an "in your face" discussion of the new S80 and made side-by-side comparisions between the latest Volvo and EVERY world-class luxury car you can imagine. The competitors cars were in person to be measured against a very impressive S80.

The food was free, and there was plenty. Appropriate to the event, there were hamburgers and hot dogs, Swedish Meatballs, and other summer cook-out fare. A live band wailed way. There was so much free stuff, that the canvas goody bag we got at the beginning was overflowing.

As if that was not enough, the webmaster and other members of the club won awards in the Car Show. At the time of this report (the day after), we know that Jerry Sira won for his white-glove clean white 122S and Paul Provencher won for his black, well lived-in and still wet behind the ears V90. Garland Culpepper's Orange 1800ES and Boyd Schwartz' 242GT also took pride of place in their respecitive categories! Here is a picture of the award that each class winner received.
